Your opinion on Animal Testing

<sub>Please give me your opinion on animal testing. I have to write an essay on it and I will post that essay when it is done.

I think animal testing is completely wrong! The animals have feelings too, and how do you think they feel when people do testing on them? The animals suffer from cruel treatment and neglect in places that do animal testing. I know it isn't right to test things on humans either, humans are animals too. Humans are smart enough to think of another way to test medicine and products than testing on animals.

It doesn't matter what you say, an opinion is an opinion, but whatever your opinion is, please share with us why you feel that way.</sub>

<sub>Ok here is my essay right now. I had to mention all sides, and not go crazy against it or for it. The teacher wanted something that supported all opinions.

There is much debate over animal testing. Some people say it’s the only way. Others think it is completely wrong and the testing on animals is worse than losing human lives. Then there are the people in between, people who think that it is wrong to test on animals, but see the benefits as well and agree that there is a reason. Each point of view has reasons, but which is correct? The following covers many of the benefits and the negatives of animal testing.
There are many benefits of animal testing. One is that testing medicine on animals saves millions of people’s live, for a few animal lives. Animal testing has helped to find cures to many diseases, and illnesses. Every medicine out there has been tested on animals before being used by humans. It also is good for research. By testing on animals people can find out how the body will react when given a certain medicine, side effects of that medicine, and how well it works. Animals are very good models for us to use to see how our bodies might react. Animal testing is also less expensive and it is easier to do than the other methods of testing medicine.
Although there are many benefits of animal testing, there are also down sides to it. Many places that use animals for testing are messy and dirty, and the animals are not cared for properly. The ways the animals are being kept are cruel and inhumane. Most animals are stuck in cages, and often are not fed the proper amount of food, or given the love and attention they want and need. Some of the things that are done to the animals are terrible. Many animals die while being tested, and suffer from terrible diseases because of the testing or poor care. There are not enough restrictions on animal testing and there are many times when unneeded tests are done, and more animals suffer because of it.
Some people are not completely on the all benefits side, and some are not completely on the all bad side. There are people who understand that there is a reason for it, but don’t like the fact that innocent animals are harmed because of it. The people who are half way between the two points of view, a little bit of both sides mixed together. Animal testing is a hard thing to pick sides on, because either way you go, some creatures end up dying. There are some people, who don’t care if the animals die, and there are people who care, maybe a bit too much, and would rather people die instead of the animals. Both sides together are not as bad as just one of them alone.
Though there are many opinions on animal testing, some ignoring the down sides, some ignoring the benefits, and others who see both. With more restriction, and better living conditions, some people may change their thought on animal testing, just a little. Animal testing is wrong, but right at the same time. A benefit for one person, is a down side for another, and a down side for one person is a benefit for another.</sub>

Animal testing is wrong. All animals have right's and feelings. Who cares about make-up. All of us use is, even guys. It will just show people who we really are. Animal testing is cruel, if they don't know chemicals will work, try it on other things besides biotic factors, and our abiotic factors such as Water, Air, etc.

_{My teacher is more thinking its right than wrong, but when it comes to make-up and stuff like that, he is on my side, completely against it. My teacher thinks it is no worse than slaughtering an animal, well it is worse. When an animal is slaughtered, the probably aren't sick, not being fed enough, or being hurt before they are killed. Also animals that are slaughtered probably don't suffer as long as the animals in testing. Another thing is that the animals that are slaughtered, and the animals that are tested on are different. Those who are tested on, are suposed to be pets, and all they want is to be loved, played with, and fed. The ones being slaughtered were meant to be slaughtered and aren't really meant to be pets, and if given the choice might have nothing to do with humans other than get fed by them, it is just how things are.}

i think animal testing is wrong unless it can cure cancer or a deadly desease so if you like testing on animals think of your pet being tested on would oyu like it to be tested on for your beauty products so next time you want some cosmetics think of all the animals that dyed to make it so buy natural cosmeticsand save to dying animals

-|Noel|- , Before you go talking about how animal slaughter isnt bad maybe you should do alittle research on it first!! They are Suffering being cramed in a trailer for hours with out food or water in cold or in heat! And when they arrive at the slaughter they are treated poorly, fed little or not even fed at all .. Some even are still alive when hung up and being skinned .. No slaughter isnt bad at all think about it and slaughter isnt just for food animals its for unwanted pets !! That stupid people do not want anymore like horses for example people send unwanted horses all the time when they can be loving pets

I think everything that hurts animals emotionaly or physicly is wrong!!
